Michele Levitt Bio

Michele has been training dogs for over 15 years. Her first dog was a Jack Russel Terrier who developed behavioral issues and taught Michele about different training methods and the importance of socializing and foundation training. He inspired Michele to be a better trainer and become involved with performance sports.

Michele started in agility over 10 years ago with her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Riley, who liked to run fast and taught Michele to think even faster. Together Riley and Michele earned 2 MACHs (Masters Agility Championships). Riley is now retired and Michele currently runs with her 6 year old Toller Sirius, 5 year old Boxer Gillyweed, 3 year old Toller Snitch and 2 year old Border Collie Hopper.

Michele and Sirius have been invited to the AKC Agility Invitationals three times, attending twice. Sirius was a Westminster finalist in 2021. He also finished the 2021 year as the #1 Preferred Toller. Michele has worked hard utilizing motivational training methods to bring out the best in Sirius over the years while working with John. Michele always wants to learn more and pushes herself to be the best handler she can be for her dogs.

Outside of agility, Michele enjoys trick training and is a Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog evaluator for the AKC. Michele wants to see all teams succeed in reaching their goals. She believes in motivational training methods while also trying different ideas to bring out the best in the dogs she works with.”
